’’He had been pushing through the snow for nearly four months. Had left behind all that was familiar to him. He ate, slept, drank and walked. He walked the hidden mountain passes like his ancestors before him. He felt as though part of everything around him after all this time. Like he was no longer human. But a tiny piece of the gigantic richness around him. The only thing that kept him from completely melting into his surroundings was that strange eagle following him. Always at a distance.
Until this one day. When he reached the edge of the thick forest. Water blinded his eyes as well as the light that came bursting out of the skye and reflected everything it could touch. The snow, the frozen branches of the trees, the valley river and it's waterfall that seemed to disappear into a bottomless pithole of the earth. Desperately trying to swallow all around it. He looked down over the valley. The wind pushing him in the back. The eagle flew above him towards the breaking skye and let out a scream that the landscape echoed back.
He could not help but do the same.
It was freezing cold. And everything still safely rapped in frost. But still...It was warmer. And the sun came warm on his face. Underneath his feet was new life. Waiting to burst out just like that sun. Spring was making it's entrance and he smiled.’’ He had found what he was looking for."
